HemaSense Takes Second Place at 2025 Venture Madness

HemaSense was awarded second place at the 2025 Venture Madness pitch competition, earning a $7,500 prize among a competitive group of early-stage companies.

Venture Madness, organized by Invest Southwest, brings together emerging companies, investors, and startup leaders through a pitch competition and capital conference. The 2025 competition featured 16 finalists selected from more than 125 applicants, with companies competing in Tempe, Arizona, on April 3, 2025.

For HemaSense, the recognition reflected growing momentum around its work to develop an access site monitor for early detection of subcutaneous bleeding during post-operative recovery. The company is focused on improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs by giving care teams earlier insight into bleeding complications after femoral access procedures.
